Thank you to the students at Runshaw College for the invitation to take part in their college Question Time panel last week. There was plenty of thoughtful discussion and lively debate. It’s genuinely refreshing to see so many politically engaged young people, and it’s fantastic that they’re given a platform to have their voices heard.

I was shocked find out that yet another high street bank is planning to pull out of Leyland town centre. Santander has confirmed the Leyland branch in Hough Lane will shut during May.

Today is often labelled “Blue Monday”, because it's believed by some to be the most depressing day of the year, down to gloomy weather, post‑Christmas bills, and resolutions that didn’t quite stick.

We’re all still coming to terms with the news that a new prison will be built alongside Garth and Wymott, but it matters to me that we push for the right infrastructure to support local people.

I’m absolutely delighted to see the structure of the new social housing on Quin Street starting to peep over the construction fencing!. It's the first phase of the Leyland Town Deal, helping to drive forward the councils ambitious plans that will transform our town centre for generations to come.

I had a brilliant time visiting Wellfield Academy this morning and meeting both students and staff.

I was really pleased to be back at Heskin Village Hall today to present them with a cheque from the Morrisons Foundation for £5,500 which is going to help with vital repairs and upgrades so the community can enjoy the hall for years to come.

This week I had the opportunity to visit the fantastic facilities at Leyland Cricket Club on Fox Lane, with some very special guests.

Today is GCSE results day and I hope all the young people who picked their results up across South Ribble got what they deserved, through hard work and dedication.

Constituencies can be confusing! You might live in South Ribble Borough, but that doesn’t always mean you’re in the South Ribble constituency because boundaries don’t always match up. Also, you might like in part of Chorley yet be in the South Ribble constituency.

I had the privilege of visiting BAE Systems Air in Warton—an inspiring experience that showcased the very best of British aerospace innovation. I met with the incredibly skilled workforce driving forward our national defence capabilities and toured their world-class facilities.

After visiting Croston on New Year’s Day and witnessing first-hand the devastation caused by the flooding to people’s homes and the disruption to their families it became a personal priority of mine to ensure everything possible was being done to prevent it from happening again.

With hundreds of South Ribble residents employed at BAE Systems in Samlesbury and Warton, where the world-class Typhoon fighter jet is assembled, it’s fantastic to see a major step forward in the aircraft’s export to Türkiye.
