International Aid Trust Visit

It was a genuine privilege to join sponsors and volunteers at International Aid Trust from across Lancashire on Friday, including their incredible Ukrainian team. I was humbled to hear first-hand first-hand about the ambulances, 4×4 pickups, medical equipment and humanitarian relief being sent out to those affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It was impossible not to be moved by the hard work and dedication of everyone involved to make better the lives of people they've never met.

The charity is much, much more than just delivering supplies, it's about giving people hope and showing them they haven't been forgotten, even in their darkest moments.

Sir Lindsay has supported this work since 1991, long before he became Speaker, and it's easy to understand why. His continued commitment to both Ukraine and the people of Chorley says everything about the kind of public servant he is. It was a pleasure to see that friendship with the community in action.

Thank you to Rev. Bernard and the entire team at International Aid Trust for the work you do every single day, and for such a warm welcome. South Ribble is fortunate to have an organisation like this on its doorstep.
