As a dad, I cannot begin to imagine the horror of watching your child starve or be caught in conflict while simply trying to find food. What we are witnessing in Gaza is utterly inhumane. My constituents across South Ribble have written to me in their hundreds, demanding action and I agree with them. I’ve written to the Foreign Secretary urging immediate steps to protect civilians, ensure aid is delivered, and support a lasting path to peace.

Statement from Paul Foster MP  The Third Reading of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill  After much reflection, I have concluded that I cannot, in good conscience, vote in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill in its current form. I firmly believe in the fundamental principles behind this Bill. I am pro-choice, and I hold a deep conviction that if someone is enduring immense pain and distress.

As a man, I can only try to comprehend the circumstances that might lead a woman to feel so desperate that she believes she has no other option but to end her pregnancy. I can only imagine that anyone who reaches that point must feel utterly without choices, or be extremely vulnerable.

Victims and survivors of exploitation and abuse must always be front and centre in our efforts to root out these vile crimes, wherever they occur.

Today, I visited St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire to meet with Chief Executive, Lynn Kelly and discuss the impact of funding disparities on the vital care they provide. Hospices should not have to rely overwhelmingly on public generosity. Donations should supplement funding, not be the backbone of it.
