Today in Parliament, I emphasised the significant opportunity Lancashire has to join the ranks of areas like Greater Manchester and the Liverpool City Region. The move towards a unified, streamlined structure with stronger devolution represents a true “game-changer” for the North of England.

I firmly believe that local government reorganisation, alongside the potential for a mayoral combined authority, is essential for enabling South Ribble and Lancashire as a whole to take greater control of our own destiny. By becoming more autonomous, we can secure the investment and powers needed to thrive, ensuring that South Ribble and the surrounding region receive the recognition and resources they deserve.
