Today I attended the opening of the House of Commons Garden of Remembrance by invitation of The Speaker. It was a sombre moment. As somebody who has served in the army, it was particularly poignant, allowing me to reflect on the those I have had the honour of crossing paths with. I laid a memorial on behalf of all South Ribble constituents to honour those who selflessly fought and gave their lives for us. Lest we forget.
