Happy Brew Monday!

Today is often labelled “Blue Monday”, because it's believed by some to be the most depressing day of the year, down to gloomy weather, post‑Christmas bills, and resolutions that didn’t quite stick. But the truth is, days that we struggle with our mental health don’t follow a calendar. Many people face difficulties at all sorts of times, and just a little human connection can make a real difference.
That’s why I’m joining Samaritans in reclaiming today as Brew Monday — a reminder to reach out, share a cuppa, and check in with the people you care about. A simple chat can mean more than you think.
Have a think if someone in your life has gone quiet, or you haven’t heard from them in a while, and take a moment to message or call them. A quick chat might be exactly what they need to feel seen and valued.
