Park Hall Hotel Fire

I met with senior fire officers, Area Manager Kirsty McCreesh and Group Manager Jonny Nottingham, to personally thank them and all those from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Service who responded on the evening of 7 April. Ten fire engines and more than 40 firefighters from across the county were mobilised to tackle the blaze on Park Hall Road.

These are men and women who run towards danger when the rest of us are told to stay away- putting themselves in harm’s way, often without knowing what they are about to face. Their professionalism, courage and bravery, especially under pressure deserve our deepest respect and gratitude.
